Saltspreader with chains conveyor Gritspreader with handling or nautical chains and scrapers - All capacities.
- Source of energy : Specific hydraulic system of the truck; Auxiliary petrol or diesel motor; Friction wheel drive; P.T.O. - Spreading width: Adjustable up to 10-13 meters. | The driving chains (handling or nautical type) are located outside the hopper and are not in contact with the salt. The salt output is regulated by the scrapers speed. These scrapers are very close together, thus ensuring a regular supply to the spreading disc. A salt regulator at the hopper outlet ensures even spreading at low speeds and at slow flowrates (optional). Lumps or material are broken into small pieces by spear-shaped breakers mounted on the srapers and inside the flowgate assembly. A springloaded feed gate system allows coarse salt to pass throught without disrupting the flowgate setting. The conveyor drive system has sufficient torque capacity to support the entire weight of material in the hopper, therefore there is no need for an inverted "V" bridge over the conveyor. The salt weight is supported by the hopper bottom. |
