It is into 1965 that Mr. Claude AUBERT founded company ACOMETIS (Les Ateliers de Constructions Métalliques de Soultz). With a manpower of approximately 20 people, the company began in the metal fittings (manufacture of doors and windows). In 1971, company ACOMETIS diversifies and launches out in the design, the manufacture and the sale of material of snow clearance and mainly of saltspreader (machines which spread salt on the roads). Currently more than 3300 machines carried and 750 tractor-drawn machines ACOMETIS are used for winter maintenance in France, that is to say more than one saltspreader out of two under operation. Since its creation company ACOMETIS bases its development on the men and the customer services. Thanks to the dynamism of its team, it knew to develop innovating, powerful and exploitable tools as regards winter viability : 1971 : Creation of first saltspreader ACOMETIS. 1977 : Realization of the first European prototype of "salt pulp" spreader (mixture of salt and brine). Today 80% of the machines used by the departments and the companies of motorway are equipped with it. 1978 : ACOMETIS proposes the version any STAINLESS. The characteristics of this material allured our customers, currently 90% of our production is out of stainless steel. 1980 : Inception of the machines with analogical linear control for a better management of the parameters of salting. 1987 : Launching of the first machines with autonomous manufacture of brine. This solution allures the community of the cities not having the means of investing in expensive installations dedicated to the manufacture of brine. 1982 : Extension of the range of the systems of extraction. Today, our range includes all the existing types of extraction to gravity, screw, rubber belt and chains. 1984 : Realization of the first sodium brine spreaders. In front of the effectiveness of the salt pulp, the brine spreading in particular in preventive maintenance quickly spread. Today, all the companies of motorway have "brinespreader". 1994 : Realization of machines with microprocessor control. The microprocessor case allows a memorizing and an analysis of the data of salting. It was developed the needs of the users specifically. This case accounts for now 50% of our orders (percentage in constant increase). 1994 : Inception of the first mixed machines which allow spread either brine, or salt, or of the salt pulp. These machines function in alternate mode. It is on this date that the first versions of software GSA allowing were exploited the management of saltspreader ACOMETIS and salting. 1996 : Opening of subsidiary company ACOMETIS POLAND. This establishment is intended to prospect and establish the company on the market of the Eastern European countries. 1998 : Mr. Claude AUBERT transfer the management of the firm to Mr. Eric AUBERT. The next evolutions take part in the improvement of the services suggested with our customers. They are located in the field du remote control: Remote maintenance and System GPS. Established in edge of the town of SOULTZ, the company employs 70 people to date full-time. This manpower passes to 130 people from October to February, corresponding to the period of full production (90% of the orders). Limited company with the capital of 510.000 Euro, ACOMETIS sees its sales turnover to increase regularly. With an amount of 0,8 M Euro, in 1979, of 3,5 M Euro in 1989, it reaches today 8,5 M Euro for an annual production of 400 carried saltspreader and 50 tractor-drawn saltspreader in 1997.
